We encourage our members not only to come and be a part of our church family, but also to serve in a way that suits their gifting. Jesus invited his disciples into his life and ministry. In Matthew 4 he called Simon Peter and his brother Andrew saying, “Come and follow me”.
But the invitation came with a challenge.
At the end of his ministry, in Matthew 28, his final call to his disciples was to “Go and make disciples of all the nations”.
Denying ourselves and serving the Lord, serving each other, and serving our community is at the foundation of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus.
And there are lots of ways to serve. Whether it is on a Sunday morning in our services, or in church leadership, or in one of our many programmes in the church – there is opportunity for anyone to be involved and to glorify the Lord by using your talents to build his church.
